Fomex LED Display Pedestal with a Light-Diffusing PC Top

CNC-machined Fomex panels form a tall display body finished with matte black paint. A light-diffusing polycarbonate (PC) box sits on top, with LEDs inside to illuminate its white faces.

The main photograph shows the completed display pedestal: a black rectangular body below a white illuminated box. Fomex panels were CNC-machined to the body shapes and joined to form the vertical structure, then finished with matte black paint. Light-diffusing PC panels form the upper box, with LEDs positioned inside. The two materials give the body and lighting section distinct appearances. For a retail or event display, the overall height, top-box proportions and product display arrangement can be discussed around the intended location and item size.

Recessed top of the Fomex body

With the PC box removed, this photograph shows the top of the black Fomex body. The outer panels, inset top surface and raised perimeter form the space where the upper component sits. The close view records the panel joins and matte surface finish before the lighting box is placed on the body.

Inside the light-diffusing PC box

The upper box is shown upside down so its interior is visible. The PC panels were processed to the required faces and joined at the corners to make the box. A rim runs around the opening, matching the position where the box sits on the Fomex body. This view shows the box construction that is hidden in the completed pedestal.

Bodies, lighting boxes and LED connections during production

Several matching Fomex bodies and PC top boxes stand side by side on the workbench. LED connection parts and wiring extend outside the bodies, making the connections accessible during production.
