5mm Translucent Acrylic Boxes with CNC-Machined 45° Joints
Translucent 5mm acrylic panels are joined after CNC machining the mating edges to 45°. Photographs show the boxes before and after cut-sheet lettering, an internally lit example, coloured transparent boxes and sanded acrylic cylinders.
These boxes use 5mm translucent acrylic panels. The mating edges are CNC-machined to 45°, aligned and joined using bubble-free bonding. Cut-sheet letters and lines finish the surfaces. The boxes are used as shop product supports and illuminated displays.
Translucent boxes with different proportions
The main photograph shows independent boxes with varied heights and widths. Their surface lettering sits over the translucent faces. Box size, panel colour, translucent-face orientation, sheet graphics and internal lighting can be considered for the display.
Related examples include 5mm frosted colour acrylic boxes and coloured transparent acrylic boxes.

CNC-machined 45° joints before lettering
The panels are sized for each box, and their mating edges are machined to 45° by CNC. The faces are positioned together and bonded. This photograph shows the surfaces and corners of boxes in different sizes before the sheet lettering is added.
Cut-sheet lettering and a border on the front
Cut-sheet letters and a thin border are attached to the front of this tall translucent box. The graphics are positioned across the panel face. This photograph records the surface finish before the internal light is switched on.
Internal light through the translucent front
Lighting inside the tall box makes the front face brighter behind the applied letters and border. This photograph shows the illuminated state. Whether to include internal lighting depends on the intended setting and display configuration.

Clear and coloured transparent box variations
The box-making approach is also used with clear and coloured transparent acrylic. The photograph shows orange, yellow, pink and blue panels alongside clear ones, with different heights, widths and opening directions.
The acrylic logo stand is another application of acrylic in display fixtures.

A separate sanded acrylic cylinder application
Clear acrylic tubes are surface-sanded with abrasive grit to create a translucent finish. LEDs inside the cylinders show through the sanded walls. The photograph includes cylinders of different heights and diameters, with light visible through the tall centre form and the short wide form.
