Side-Lit LED Letters with Black Acrylic Faces
Laser-cut black acrylic faces are fitted to white light-diffusing acrylic letter bodies. Internal LEDs illuminate the sides of the wall-mounted letters.
These side-lit letters combine laser-cut black acrylic faces with white light-diffusing acrylic bodies. LEDs inside the bodies produce white light through the letter sides around the black faces.
Black Acrylic Faces and Illuminated White Sides
The main photograph shows individual letters installed in a horizontal line on a reflective store wall. Straight and curved letter shapes share the same mounting height. The black fronts define the lettering while the white sides reveal its depth when illuminated. The format can be discussed for a showroom, clothing store or brand wall. Fitting the Black Faces to the Letter Bodies
The first detail photograph shows several letters on a workbench with their black acrylic faces fitted to the white bodies. The straight and curved edges of the fronts follow the body outlines. Small white tape pieces are visible at some edges during fitting. This view shows the junction between the laser-cut fronts and the light-diffusing sides.
Open Light-Diffusing Acrylic Letter Bodies
The second photograph shows the white letter bodies before the black faces are fitted. Their open interiors, outer walls and inner contours form the depth of each straight or curved letter. This is the fabrication stage before the LEDs are placed inside and the front plates close the bodies.
