Suspended Rectangular LED Lighting with a Painted Steel Frame
Painted galvanized steel frames, light-diffusing polycarbonate and LEDs form suspended rectangular lighting. A separate workshop example uses standard aluminium profiles.
This suspended interior light combines a painted galvanized steel frame, light-diffusing polycarbonate and LEDs. The illuminated surface follows the rectangular frame, creating a line of light within an indoor space.
A painted steel frame with a polycarbonate lighting surface
The main photograph shows a light-coloured frame suspended above an interior counter area. LEDs illuminate the polycarbonate surface along the frame. The frame can be painted in a colour chosen to suit the interior design.
For another use of light-diffusing polycarbonate, see the custom LED lightbox.
Ceiling mounting with threaded rods
This installation photograph shows galvanized steel lighting frames suspended from the ceiling on threaded rods. Bright lighting surfaces run along the frames, while the dark outer faces and vertical mounting rods remain visible. The photograph shows the lighting installed during the interior work.
A separate example using aluminium profiles
This workshop example uses standard aluminium profiles to form rectangular LED lighting. The photograph shows an illuminated corner resting on the workbenches. Its construction uses existing profiles, while the main lighting examples use painted galvanized steel frames.
