Matte Black Metal LED Sign with Raised 5mm Acrylic Letters

A laser-cut and welded galvanized steel box is finished with matte black urethane paint. Clear polycarbonate sits behind the cutouts, while 5mm acrylic letters project from the illuminated metal faces.

This LED sign uses a galvanized steel box made by laser cutting and welding, then finished with matte black urethane paint. Clear polycarbonate sheets are fitted behind the circular and letter-shaped cutouts. Laser-cut 5mm lighting acrylic letters are attached at the front so they project beyond the metal surface.

The main photograph shows the sign face during illumination. The round opening and lettering transmit light from the LEDs inside the box. The acrylic letters follow the cutout shapes while extending in front of the metal face. This sign format is used for café fronts, dessert shops and wall signage.

For fabrication methods, see the acrylic CNC and laser cutting guide.

The wider photograph shows circular openings and raised lettering on two adjacent faces of the box. The laser-cut and welded steel body has a matte black urethane finish. LEDs behind the clear polycarbonate and 5mm acrylic letters illuminate both the openings and lettering.

Six cylindrical lighting elements are arranged on a rectangular gold mirror acrylic frame. The photograph shows the lit elements and their reflections across the gold surface. This is a separate example using a reflective acrylic finish rather than the painted metal body of the main sign.

This sign uses an unpainted hairline stainless steel panel with a front graphic and raised acrylic lettering. LED light is visible along the acrylic edges. Protective film remains visible on the background panel in the workshop photograph. The panel material and letter treatment differ from the matte black box sign.

The collage records a wooden-frame sign with LED modules arranged inside. Acrylic letters are made separately and attached to the front, and black marble-patterned interior film covers the exterior. The photographs show the open LED layout, letter positioning and illumination; the marble appearance is a film finish.

For another wood-and-lighting project, see the rooftop display with linear LEDs. More fixtures appear in the display portfolio.
