Hand-Bent Glass Neon Letters on CNC-Cut Clear Acrylic Bases

Glass neon tubes are bent by hand to follow the letter design and fixed above CNC-machined clear acrylic bases. Workshop photographs show green illumination, transparent supports and a close view of a tube-end connection.

This letter sign uses glass neon tubes bent by hand to follow the lettering design. CNC-machined clear acrylic bases follow the letter outlines, with transparent supports holding each tube above its base. The individual letters are arranged and checked under power.

Green neon letters on clear acrylic bases

The main photograph shows the letters illuminated in green across a workshop bench. Each letter has its own clear base and shaped glass tube. The design can be adapted through the lettering, light colour, acrylic base shape and arrangement for shop walls, exhibition spaces and illuminated letter signs.

For another lighting construction, see the metal LED sign with projecting acrylic letters. The acrylic CNC and laser cutting guide describes fabrication methods for acrylic parts.

Clear supports follow the tube layout

The acrylic base is CNC-machined around the letter outline and tube layout. Transparent supports hold the hand-bent glass tube with a gap above the base. This unlit close view shows both the straight and curved tube sections and the positions of the supports.

The electrode connection at the tube end

The close-up records the electrode and power cable connection at the end of the glass neon tube. After arranging the individual letters, the power connections and illumination are checked. The photograph documents this fabrication detail.
